Originally born in England and now a proud American Citizen, Mr. Thompson began his engineering career in a small 5 person consulting enginerring company specializing in the design and manufacture of special purpose machinery. Initially a mechanical designer he worked his way to senior project engineer and project manager controlling machine development projects from initial inquiry through concept development, design building, fabrication, installation and start up. Mr. Thompson then moved on to a 10 year career with a manufacturer of weighing, blending and handling systems for bulk solids and liquids materials servicing a wide array of process industries. This opportunity involved many overseas projects with extensive travel to Europe, U.S.A. and the Far East. He has significant knowledge in materials handling with specialist skills in pneumatic and mechanical conveying and significant process engineering background across a wide range of industries. 

He joined Technical Associates in September of 1996 after moving to the United States. His career with Technical Associates started as a Mechanical Engineer on paper converting/making and utilities projects for what was then TA's largest customer. His career steadily progressed within TA to Project Engineer, Mechanical and Process Engineering Department Manager, Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Vice President, and he now operates as co-leader of Technical associates as our President of Engineering. He has worked with and managed multidiscipline teams of resources at a growing number of Technical Associates locations. He has driven the diversification of the business both within our existing client relationships and offerings and particularly into new process industry clients. Mr. Thompson continues to passionately drive TA's business through growth in capability and recognizes that we must continually develop the quality of Technical Associates staff, equipment and systems. Everything we do is about our people and our client relationships. He is a firm believer that there is still no substitute for good solid hands on, boots on the ground experience and this experience manifests itself in what Graham believes is the formation of the best resources in the business.
